At Riviera Outdoor Decor, we are the only Outdoor Living,Outdoor Kitchen, and Design Firm, not only in Corpus Christi but nationwide, that has multiple disciplines in design and engineering on staff. We undergo specialized training and receive CEUs in Marine Grade Stainless Steel (316) and Stainless Steel (304) for Outdoor Kitchens. Riviera Outdoor Decor has been recognized with four international awards, and appeared in numerous publications, for our innovative products and designs.
At Riviera Outdoor Decor, we do not believe outdoor living products are a “one-size-fits-all” that you see with most on-line patio stores or in the big box store. That is, patio furniture or outdoor kitchens made for northern Michigan would not necessarily last along the Gulf Coast or in a tropical area. Outdoor furniture, outdoor kitchens and specifically outdoor kitchen appliances should be geographically tailored for the climate where they will be located, in order for the products to last. This is why we specialize in coastal outdoor furniture and kitchens.
We believe outdoor living should be fun for everyone. It should bring families and friends together without the need for the TV, phone or computer. A place where a family can connect together without the distractions of modern day life. This is why we sell the line of products that we do. Even with our own family of four children fourteen years apart, it was the one place where the age difference of the children seemed to disappear for outdoor fun. It was a multigenerational haven where there was an outdoor game for everyone, from the youngest in the family to the grandparent, or we all participated in the outdoor kitchen for a refreshing dining experience alfresco.
We are life long residents of the coastal bend in Corpus Christi, and enjoy all the fun activities that it brings. We also know how corrosive the conditions of living along the coast can be. At one time, it seemed we spent more of our time replacing our outdoor furniture than we did actually enjoying it. It also seemed next to impossible to find a line of outdoor living products that was cohesive, where you could coordinate your entire outdoor space.
The owner and lead designer- Melissa Hammann, with a background in interior design and a speciality in construction of products in outdoor living, growing tired of replacing outdoor products, started a curated collection of outdoor furniture and accessories designed to last in coastal conditions. Obviously, each item needed to be field tested for longevity, which is how our outdoor showroom got started.

Melissa is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design. She holds a Master of Science from Texas A&M, Magna Cum Laude; Bachelor of Business, Texas A&M, Finance and Accounting. Specialized training in Marine Grade Stainless Steel Outdoor Kitchens and construction of outdoor living products for coastal outdoor living. Specialized training for Outdoor Kitchens along with CEUs are current for both outdoor kitchens and outdoor living.
Melissa has been honored four times- 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2025 to receive the highly coveted and esteemed International (IWCE)/Vision/GraceAwards . These are "To the Trade" awards recognition of excellence. In addition, Melissa has had her designs published numerous times in both national and local media. Lead Engineer
Mark is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri with dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and System Science and Mathematics, Summa Cum Laude.
If something needs to be done that appears extremely difficult, requires precision and seems impossible, Mark is who we turn to. We credit Mark for the engineering behind the wind-resistant outdoor curtains.

DIane bring a vast experience of design, management and real estate experience. Diane is an integral part of our Riviera Outdoor Decor and Resorts

We are honored to be the four- time recipients of the coveted and highly competitive (IWCE)/Vision Magazine award for 2018, 2019 & 2020. IWCE/Vision Magazine is the industry "Academy Awards" for Outdoor Living and Custom Home Decor
